The evening of Monday October 29th at approximately 6:30 West Webster Fire Department started receiving calls for service related to Hurricane Sandy.  For the next few hours crews staffed equipment at all three firehouses in order to assist the citizens of our district.  Members were able to fully staff 5 Pumpers, 2 Ambulances, a Squad, a Quint, and a Rescue to assist the citizens of our district.  While the storm shifted and our area was not hit as hard as was expected our volunteers responded to approximately 30 calls for service including wires down, water problems, trees down blocking the road, and several ambulance calls in the 12 hour period between 6:30 pm and 6:30 am.
