Hazmat Incident July 10th, 2013
Monday July 8th, West Webster responded for a report of two pool chemicals that had been mixed together and were now smoking. Units were updated while en route that the products were making a popping noise and that everyone would be evacuating the house. Command declared a level 0 Hazmat incident. The issue was mitigated with out incident with the help of the Monroe County Hazmat team.
Firefighter Joe Hoffstetter Returns to Work July 10th, 2013
Tuesday July 9th Firefighter Joe Hoffstetter made a triumphant return to work after being injured in the Christmas eve incident. Firefighter Hoffstetter was injured in the attacks and has spent the last 7 months rehabing and getting himself back to a point where he would be able to return. Our West Webster family wishes to congratulate Joe on his accomplishments.
House Fire July 8th, 2013
On the morning of July 8th at approximately 4:30 in the morning West Webster was dispatched for a possible house on fire in the 900 block for Gravel Road. While responding units were updated that there was additional calls coming in for a fire from the roof of location. 1C82 arrived on location a short time after dispatch finding a 2 story frame house with smoke and fire from the roof. Police advised the fire department that the house is a vacant and with that information the fire department commenced with a defensive attack on the fire. Command declared the fire out approximately 40 minutes later. Cause of the fire is under investigation and the house has been demolished by the Town of Webster Highway Department. Statement about Texas LODD April 18th, 2013
The officers and firefighters of the West Webster Fire Department wish to express our sincerest condolences to the firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and police officers who lost their lives this morning in the Town of West, Texas. We are truly saddened by the events that unfolded and will continue to support and pray for our brother and sister emergency responders as they have supported us in our time of need. Our hearts go out to the community as well which will forever be affected by the incident that occurred.

Support for Local Crimestoppers Program February 11th, 2013
Thursday February 7th two members from West Webster assisted the Monroe County Crimestoppers by answering phones and receiving donations for the organization. Assistant Chief Vince Pratt and PIO Al Sienkiewicz were present to assist the crimestoppers organization. Lt. Chiapperini was an avid supporter of the Crimestoppers program and his last media appearance was on 13Wham TV in their weekly crime stoppers segment. Feb. 8 Confederate Railroad Concert and Fundraiser Cancelled February 7th, 2013
CANCELLED: The Confederate Railroad concert and Fundraiser for Friday, February 8, 2013, 7:00 PM has been Cancelled due to travel conflicts. The poor weather conditions (winter storm) have caused the cancelling of flights.
Firefighter/EMS Provider of the Year February 4th, 2013
Below are the write ups for the firefighter and EMS provider of the year for 2012 for the West Webster Fire Department. The members chosen for firefighter of the year were Past Chief Michael Chiapperini and Firefighter Tomasz Kaczowka. The EMS provider of the year is Firefighter Brandon Nugent.
