By Captain Mark Cholach
June 18, 2017

At about 18:00 on Sunday, Webster firefighters responded to an incident in the 1000 block of Lake Road for a person on a lawnmower fallen over a cliff. Very early into the incident, Command requested West Webster's rescue to the scene for rope and water rescue equipment. It was determined that this incident would be a recovery operation and West Webster personnel assisted with setting up a rope system and providing rescue swimmers to move the victim from the shore to the fire boat. The incident is under investigation by the Webster Police Department and our condolences are extended to the family of the victim.
