On the morning of July 8th at approximately 4:30 in the morning West Webster was dispatched for a possible house on fire in the 900 block for Gravel Road. While responding units were updated that there was additional calls coming in for a fire from the roof of location. 1C82 arrived on location a short time after dispatch finding a 2 story frame house with smoke and fire from the roof. Police advised the fire department that the house is a vacant and with that information the fire department commenced with a defensive attack on the fire. Command declared the fire out approximately 40 minutes later. Cause of the fire is under investigation and the house has been demolished by the Town of Webster Highway Department.
