| Our first unit arrived on scene within just four minutes and immediately declared a working fire. Firefighters faced a challenging scene with fire actively burning on the side of the house and already extending into the home's interior. Crews immediately went to work, conducting a thorough search of the house while executing a rapid fire attack to contain the flames and prevent further spread.
Thanks to the quick action and efforts of all crews, the fire was brought under control in approximately twenty-five (25) minutes.
We are incredibly grateful to report that no injuries were sustained by either the residents or any responding emergency personnel.
Fire crews remained on the scene for roughly two hours to complete overhaul operations, ensuring all hot spots were fully extinguished.
This successful outcome was a true team effort. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of our mutual aid partners who supported us during this incident: Webster Fire Department, Irondequoit Fire District, Webster Police Department, Penfield-Webster Ambulance, and the Monroe County Fire Bureau.
Fill-In Coverage (handling additional calls to protect our district): Brighton Fire District and the Penfield Fire Department.
